Our client, a global manufacturer with a location in Lexington, North Carolina, has an immediate opening for a Engineering Technical Sales Manager. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Degree in a technical field (engineering, etc) and the desire to work in sales required. Duties Include: Developing new expansion joint business by analyzing industry and account potential. Initiating, developing, and closing sales. Recommending new applications and sales strategies. Identifies development potential in accounts by studying current business; interviewing key customer personnel and company personnel who have worked with customer; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities. Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments. Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services. Working closely with engineers to ensure proper design and satisfying customer requirements. Develops new applications by preparing specifications; conferring with product engineering. Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Experience calling on automotive manufacturers and suppliers would be a plus. Extensive travel might be require Skills/Qualifications: Engineering or technical background. Strong knowledge of MS Office products. Experience establishing Partnerships/Alliances. Excellent Prospecting Skills. Outside Technical Sales experience with gaskets, technical textiles or expansion joints would be a huge plus Enjoy Travel.
