AB Studios seeks a motivated and creative Production Assistant (Set PA) to support our team in producing high-quality educational video content. This role involves assisting with lighting, product photography, props, set design, teleprompters, and camera operation while ensuring smooth production workflows. Projects range from instructional K-12 content, educator interviews, live streaming instructors, promotional videos, and social-first media. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced studio environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in producing, shooting, and editing video content for ABStudios.com, YouTube, and social media while maintaining brand standards and meeting deadlines.

• Support production tasks as instructed by the director or producer on set.

• Ensure smooth recording sessions by assisting clients and talent during recordings.

• Work with creative leads, producers, and editors to prepare digital assets for efficient post-production.

• Operate cameras, teleprompters, and direct the studio floor as needed.

• Set up, maintain, and operate props, cameras, lighting, set design (construction and maintenance), and other production equipment.

• Prepare scripts before recording and maintain a clean, organized studio environment.

• Uphold safety standards and enforce best practices during all production activities.

Key Requirements:

• Having a passion for education, entertainment, and brand development is a must.

• 1-3 years of professional video production experience.

• Strong organizational skills, demonstrates initiative, and excellent written and verbal communication.

• Ability to take direction while working independently and as a proactive team member with a mindset of flexibility and willingness to wear multiple hats.

• Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects at once.

• Experience with the Adobe Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.), Canva, and similar post-production tools.

• Experience with professional cameras (Canon EOS R, C-Series, etc.), lighting, and audio recording.

• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high production values.

• Familiarity with set design, props, and scene staging.

• Bonus: Experience in product/event photography, motion graphics, color grading, sound design, or social media (trends) content creation.

• Required: Resume or CV showcasing video production work and a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.

• Occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs; rarely lift/move up to 50 lbs.

• Strong vision abilities for close focus and adjustments.
