We are a dynamic, fast-paced team, and we are looking to add a talented Senior Mapping Designer to our growing group.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Mapping Designer, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality mapping products for a variety of clients. You’ll work closely with other design professionals to ensure the accuracy, functionality, and aesthetic value of our mapping designs. This is a unique opportunity to lead key mapping projects, utilizing your expertise in design and technical skills to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of accurate, detailed maps using AutoCAD and other mapping software.
Creation of pipeline alignment sheets using Bluesky software.
Creation of property plats for use and ading in right of way acquisition.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure design requirements are met.
Review and edit mapping designs using AutoCAD to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy.
Communicate with clients to understand project needs, make design recommendations, and present finalized designs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Cartography, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 5 years of experience in mapping design or a similar role.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and other mapping software.
Strong understanding of cartographic principles, map design, and spatial analysis. Property Plat preparation.
Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
