Description:
St. Francis Xavier School in Petoskey seeks a dynamic teacher who inspires students to learn Spanish. This position is a part-time Spanish language teacher for the 2024-25
school year in grades K-5, with the potential to add more hours in middle school grades. Candidates should be fluent in Spanish language, have a strong knowledge of Spanish grammar and vocabulary, and be passionate about teaching and collaborating with

colleagues.

Teaching responsibilities include developing lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of students; teaching writing and conversational Spanish where pronunciation
and important words and phrases are taught, and monitoring student progress.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills.

Model applicants are practicing Catholics.

Bachelor's degree in Spanish language or teaching experience in Spanish language.

A valid State of Michigan teaching certificate is preferred.

Qualified candidates will be able to be employed as a shared-time teacher through Jackson Public Schools. Diocese of Gaylord
