ASTRSK is looking for an Account Director or Senior Account to join its leadership team. This AD should have 5-9 years of experience with and passion for working with consumer and B2B technology brands and startups across AI, VC, fintech, healthcare, service marketplaces, edtech industries and more. The ideal candidate will be able to build trusted relationships with clients to understand their overall business goals and PR objectives, then not only build, but implement a reverse-engineered PR and comms strategy to meet those goals and objectives. Additionally, they should have experience managing a team of at least 3-5 junior to mid-level team members and be passionate about mentorship and team growth.
AD must be able to be in-office with the team on Tuesdays and Thursdays, working from home Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. *In-office dates and frequency are subject to change
An AD at ASTRSK PR is focused on building thoughtful, high-level strategy that guides clients through strong recommendations on the best possible outcomes for media relations based on the intuitive knowledge of their respective industries. An Account Director is equally at home “in the weeds” (remembering key details around client updates and calls), pitching and earning media, keeping a pulse on industry news, and more, as they are with high-level strategy.
ADs have a strong love of journalism and a desire to aid its practitioners. They are highly effective managers and no-nonsense supervisors who can lead with humility and empathy. They possess advanced writing, editing and time management skills along with deep relationships with journalists. They are constantly engaged with the unique endemic industries their clients work in and find ways to elevate PR through that knowledge.
