RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage key suppliers and stakeholders to determine deliverables and requirements are being met for all Fixtures, Furnishings, and Equipment (FF&E) at Five Below, including costing, ocean freight and value engineering opportunities.
Source suppliers and negotiate contractual terms and conditions where needed. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential vendors, assess their capabilities, and stay ahead of industry trends.
Negotiation Expertise: Lead negotiations with vendors to secure optimal pricing, terms, and service levels, leveraging your extensive experience to maximize value for the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across departments to understand their needs, address concerns, and advocate for effective procurement practices.
Interview potential suppliers and determine if supplier is qualified to produce and/or supply products or services. Includes a review of supplier's production capability, ability to meet deadlines, and financial background.
Set up, track, and monitor vendor performance, pricing, and contracts to ensure ongoing service level and competitiveness reducing expenses and improving effectiveness. Works with supplier during testing of any services. Coordinates and communicates company recommendations and revisions for the product or service.
Prepare, negotiate and place annual and supplemental purchases with Key suppliers for all FF&E
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert of the relevant FF&E market as well as Five Below's sourcing and spend.
Manage and optimize supplier performance including contract compliance, continuous improvement, innovations, and reduction in total cost of ownership.
Project management - working with suppliers and cross functional teams. Educate, consult, and influence relevant business stakeholders (i.e. construction) to understand and follow Five Below's procurement and purchasing program and processes.
Oversee the management of the procurement buyer and ensure all work, coaching, developing, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bach/4 Yr Degree; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 5-8 years procurement or strategic sourcing experience. Indirect spend and retail experience required.
Strong organizational and presentation skills, ability to prioritize and maintain accountability, negotiation skills, procurement terminology, and cost analysis.
Strong data and financial analysis skills required
Strong understanding of how small-box retail stores and personnel operate.
Demonstrated experience sourcing materials and services for major projects in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organized, self-motivated, independent thinker who can work with minimal direction.
