We are looking for a  Machine Operator  to join our team at the Newburyport plant. This facility is located at 15 Malcolm Hoyt Drive.

1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) Monday through Friday

Pay for this position is $17.85  per hour.

The Machine Operator runs a machine that injects material into a specialized mold, removes the finished product and discards waste. This position may also assist with inspection of manufactured parts and some light assembly and sub-assembly.

Responsibilities and Duties

The essential job duties of the Machine Operator include:

• Manual operation of injection molding machines according to specific manufacturing document instructions;
• Recording molded part quantities into the job tracking system;
• Reporting of any quality or mechanical issues;
• Inspection of parts for defects or non-conformance and any associated documentation;
• Weighing production batches to obtain quantities;
• Documentation as part of our quality assurance best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

The individual in the Machine Operator position:

• Has the ability to read and understand manufacturing documents;
• Has good basic math and calculation understanding;
• Can use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems;
• Is a hard-working, reliable person with a solid work history; and
• Can work overtime, as needed.
