Junior DevOps/Developer Engineer

What You Bring to the Game:

1. Assist in deploying applications and services in staging and production environments.
2. Support CI/CD automation using tools like Jenkins and Puppet.
3. Monitor and troubleshoot basic deployment issues under guidance from senior engineers.
4. Work with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM) to support cloud infrastructure needs.
5. Help write and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripts (Terraform).
6. Assist in development of chatbots using LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, AWS Bedrock).
7. Assist in basic prompt engineering techniques to optimize chatbot responses.
8. Assist in integrating chatbots into web applications via APIs and SDKs.
9. Participate in log monitoring and debugging using tools like CloudWatch, Splunk, or ELK stack.
10. Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability and automation.

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Basic understanding of DevOps principles and cloud infrastructure.
3. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or Puppet).
4. Exposure to AWS services and cloud concepts.
5. Some familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
6. Understanding of REST APIs and how to integrate services.
7. Experience with front-end and back-end web application development using technologies such as JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, or .NET.
8. Familiarity with responsive design principles, accessibility standards, and performance optimization for web applications.
9. Knowledge of web security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
10. Interest in chatbot development using LLMs or NLP models.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

1. Experience working with municipal or federal government agencies.
2. Basic knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform).
3. Familiarity with chatbot frameworks like LangChain.
4. Exposure to logging and monitoring tools.
