Job Description

Primary responsibility is the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.

• Assists in all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck and barge, and inspects barges and trucks before loading.
• Subject matter expert in all facets of Viserion's safety programs and culture, has a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations, demonstrates safe working practices. Has the ability to perform JHAs, recognizes near misses and leads the majority of safety meetings.
• Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Performs barge draft calculations.
• Oversees maintenance projects, has a strong understanding of all facets of maintenance for the facility and is an equipment expert.
• Accurately perform inventory management.
• Leads operations in the absence of management.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Associates, Technical or Mechanical Degree desired.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Subject matter expert in all safety related rules and procedures.
• Advanced in maintenance, equipment operations, safety programs and grain operations.
• Proven leader.
• Welding and light fabrication preferred.
• Agriculture and/or grain elevator experience preferred.
