The Cardiovascular Sonographer at UCHealth Broomfield Hospital provides expert patient care by conducting echocardiograms and vascular studies while ensuring quality and safety in imaging procedures. This role involves patient education, monitoring patient conditions, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. The sonographer also works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional health outcomes.

FTE: Full Time, 0.8, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Flex
Pay: $41.43 - $62.15 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Minimum Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program.
- 1 adult echo and 1 vascular credential from:
- ARDMS: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Adult (AE); Vascular Technologist (RVT).
- CCI: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Registered Cardiac Congenital Sonographer (RCCS), Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- 2 years of related experience.
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Cardiovascular Sonographer: - Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
